My name is Amy, and I am the founder of Southern Steps UK Ltd. 

I’ve been dancing since the age of three, with my passion for movement leading me from competitive dancing to formal dance training and then onto performing abroad in Duisburg, Germany. As a fully qualified IDTA (International Dance Teacher Association) teacher with over 15 years of experience, I’m thrilled to share my love and expertise through line dancing — a style that holds a very special place in my heart. 

I choreograph for shows and events and have been proud to be part of the journeys of dancers who have gone on to become professionals themselves. I also continue to attend lessons, as I believe learning never stops. 

For many years, I danced alongside my nan, travelling across the UK to country and western festivals, creating unforgettable memories and a lifelong love for the dance floor.
